A group has been set up to help any members of our community who find themselves needing assistance as a result of the Covid-19 virus.
The group represents a collection of community groups from the villages of Flagmount, Killanena, Feakle, Scariff, Tuamgraney, Ogonnelloe, Bodyke, Mountshannon, Whitegate, O’Callaghan Mills and Tulla to help our fellow neighbours during the current Corona Virus Outbreak.
Our contact number is 085 865 98 89
We are here to assist those in our community, particularly the elderly, those with a disability and those who have to or have chosen to self-isolate, to get basic supplies and medicines.
How to access our help:
- All you will need to do is ring/text or WhatsApp 085 865 98 89 with your request.
- A volunteer, preferably who will be known to you, will contact you and help you with what you need.
- For ease of use please have your Eircode to hand.
We would like to stress to you that we will be working within strict medical protocols to ensure there is no risk either to you or the volunteer. As part of this, we will not be entering your home and we will be following the social distancing and other recommendations setup by the HSE.
Your exchanges with us will remain confidential. Your information will not be held or shared.
If you wish to help or volunteer please connect with local community groups in your area.
Please use this central phone number and your requests will be picked up by Eleanor Walsh, Alan Maher, Mike McNamara and Dónal O’Connor.
